Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari is one of the world's most ambitious conservation operations involving the largest pest-fenced ecological sanctuary in the world. Protected by a 47 km pest-proof fence, this 3,363-hectare ancient forest ecosystem safeguards a living treasure of biodiversity, cultural heritage, and ecological resilience.
